Amazing weekend. Fucking beautiful blur of three days. Amazing music, people, parties, girls, music, art, and surprisingly few hallucinogens. Many, many pictures to come.

The Dream Is Becoming Reality!!!

Yesterday afternoon, one of MFGaT's favorite bands and family members "Blood St." were signed by SESAC publishing group. This is a huge step for them as a band, and a huge step for music in general. It shows us, that there are people out there who still believe in "The Music" and are willing to sign truly talented acts, and not some bubble-gum pussies with sweet haircuts and nice teeth. (no one in blood st has nice teeth.)

Anyway shout out to E.B., Eric, Matty, and Stevie Dubbs. We love you and are so proud of you!

Salute,

Famoso

Rick Ross Has a Stutter

My friend and Olde English's musical collaborator Jesse Novak interviewed Rick Ross:

I Have Never Been So Excited To Blog and Jonny Ruined It

So earlier tonight Jonny told me he had written a post regarding the where abouts of
Wesley Snipes. Jonny wondered where Wesley had gone. An amazing thing happened when I got home. . . I found him. No joke. I got home about 30 minutes ago, putzed around my house for a little bit, looked out the window, then the TV on. Not 1 minute in I see the following commercial. Did not believe my eyes. Unfortunately Jon Boy hadn't made the post, or deleted it or some shit. No Worries, still awesome. Keep in mind this was posted on youtube 14 days ago.
Thank God for DVR, youtube, and Total Gym.

and Chuck Norris

He has also done a bunch of straight to DVD stuff.

Toons

You know? The funny thing about music is it seems to be the one singular artistic entity amongst most people that hits them in the same way. Almost everyone I've ever met can relate to that physical feeling you feel when you hear a song or even moreover a portion of a song that makes the hairs on your arms stand on end. However, it seems as though a fan's sonic tangibility to music and the idea that a they would be able to recreate this sensation for others just because they have felt it themselves is simply, sadly and for many, pathetically untrue. Why is it that so many people think they have not only the ability, but the right to call themselves musicians or songwriters. I tried, well not really, but participated in athletics throughout my early life and I have been skating and snowboarding a plethora of times since college but it's not as though I would waltz up to a snowboarder or a skateboarder and say, "hey, I'm doing what you do now, you owe it to me as a member of your craft to take me seriously." I mean come on! I am not a cocky or arrogant man by any means, but the truth is I come from a musical family, have been playing the guitar since 1992 and have been performing in front of people since that same year. At 10, I sang in front of my summer camp for the first time, the tune... Mr. Big's "To Be With You." While the selection may not have been something that I listen to constantly anymore, that summer I also sang "More Than Words" by Extreme (no better, I know), but importantly "Thorn In My Pride," by The Black Crowes which is to this day one of my soul songs and always the last song of the night I play before I shut off the music when I'm D.J.ing. I know this seems like a rant, but let me be honest, this has been me and all I've cared about since I was a little boy. I took no interest in sports, I never had girls to boost my ego during adolescence, or grades to make me at least on a good student's level like I was any better than anybody else. So, let me conclude by saying this, I love people and I love to talk to people about all kinds of things including music. As a continuous fan and connoisseur I will talk about what I'm into and who has influenced me as a musician/songwriter until the fat lady sings. But please, don't tell me about your band or your song writing or your opinion about my work because I really don't give a fuck and your words will go in through one ear and out the other. Really, I know I sound like a total dick, but seriously don't because I'd rather not hear it and I'd rather not judge you in regards to music if I don't have to. It's the only time the real asshole within me shines like a fucking quasar...... Just happened a lot this weekend, whatever, I hate you and love you all.

goodnight,

EBENEEZER

DMX has his finger on the pulse of... anything?

I first heard about this from Dave. It was published on the XXL blog in mid-March. However, to be fair, I believe the interview took place in January. This interview is best read out-loud by two people. Here's a brief excerpt, but i suggest reading the whole thing here.

--------------------------------

Are you following the presidential race?
Not at all.

You’re not? You know there’s a Black guy running, Barack Obama and then there’s Hillary Clinton.
His name is Barack?!

Barack Obama, yeah.

Barack?!

Barack.
What the fuck is a Barack?! Barack Obama. Where he from, Africa?

Yeah, his dad is from Kenya.
Barack Obama?

Yeah.
What the fuck?! That ain’t no fuckin’ name, yo. That ain’t that nigga’s name. You can’t be serious. Barack Obama. Get the fuck outta here.

You’re telling me you haven’t heard about him before.
I ain’t really paying much attention.

I mean, it’s pretty big if a Black…
Wow, Barack! The nigga’s name is Barack. Barack? Nigga named Barack Obama. What the fuck, man?! Is he serious? That ain’t his fuckin’ name. Ima tell this nigga when I see him, “Stop that bullshit. Stop that bullshit” [laughs] “That ain’t your fuckin’ name.” Your momma ain’t name you no damn Barack.

So you’re not following the race. You can’t vote right?
Nope.

Is that why you’re not following it?
No, because it’s just—it doesn’t matter. They’re gonna do what they’re gonna do. It doesn’t really make a difference. These are the last years.

-------------------------------------

He never explains why these are the last years, buuuuut he's prolly right.
Read the rest of the interview, it's gold, or crack, depending on whether or not you are DMX.
Thanks Clover for such a stellar interview.

Coke, The new weight gain drug?

I have recently been privy to find myself in the majestic company of fat bearded girls who blow tons of cocaine while they play music, which I must say is also in addition to these scruffy white nostriled broads themselves, really good. It's pretty crazy that even though their cocaine use is kind of, well sort of, out of control, it aids them greatly in their art. One young lady in particular named Elizabeth Rowld, Lizzy to her friends is one of the more talented bearded ladies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her journey began when she developed an alias for herself, which she has asked me to refrain from mentioning, so that she could develop a line of t-shirts and baseball hats while reinventing herself for the world to eat up with a silver spoon. As a fan of the fashion and music world I must say that stylistically both Lizzy's spring line and music are ahead of their time. I would encourage Lizzy to keep on creating and also to do enough coke to kill an elephant so that if she were to pass on, she would truly be remembered as a martyr in true rock and roll fashion BADASS sense. Rock on Lizzy!

The Quest For The Cup Begins!!!!

After another hard fought 82 games, the Blue Shirts are on their way for the third straight year to the NHL playoffs. As it looks now, we will be playing the New Jersey scumbag Devils in the first round. We have beaten those salami dicks all 7 games this year, so I am not too worried about the first round (I really hope i'm not jinxing us right now!)

Anywho, as you have seen before on this blog, we support the New York Rangers and think Hockey is very fucking cool. Everyone take a second and remember the glorious June of 94'

Singing With The Birds

Today me and my girl Hannah enjoyed a lovely day walking around Paris. (France not Texas..) We were in the streets very tough cruising up the Seine River, when we saw a bunch of pet stores. We walked in to see the animals, and one bird and I shared a pretty magical moment. Hannah was bright enough to capture it on film!

PARIS IS SO ILL!!!!

Hello All,
MfGat's founder and chief has taken a week abroad to gay Paris, with two good friends to explore whatever this city has to offer. I have so many photos, but the buffer that left her camera at my house forgot to leave a battery, charger and computer USB cord, so you will have to wait. All I can say is that we are definitely keeping it very funky. We;re making a short film, My boys Barney Kulok and Sebastian Bear-McClard have an opening at Hussenot Gallery (one of the biggest galleries in Paris), and a few beautiful babes I know from NYC are over here enjoying a semester abroad,

Best Things I've Seen So Far:
1) Everybody during the day walks around with a baguette. No joke.
2) We went to some gaudy art party, where I told two French babes I was Kid Rocks son. They were totally into it, even though Kid Rock and I are about 9 years apart.
3) A little black girl in a pink fur suit cursing at a Chinese woman in French, I had no idea what the argument was about or even if it was an argument, but it was mad ill to look at.
4) A book of street sticker art, that shouted out Baron Von Fancy, Pegleg, and Lola.
5) Sebo's Muscles.
6) A store called "Fanny Fouks"!!!!! (I have pictures to prove it) It was so dope.
7) The bar across from our hotel in French means "The Male Room" it's so gay, and every night when I come home when I have had too many chardonays, I debate walking in and acting a fool....I probably will one night.
8) My friend Lauren's Butt.

People I have been here for 48 hours and it has already gotten epic.Check back in a few days.

Bon Nuit,

Monsieur Famous
