This man Henry Lihn preyed on me when I was in Zonte in El Salvador, he approached me as “not an energy healer” or “shaman” but someone who is around women who do this sort of work. I was in a very low point in my life, over the course of a few days he disarmed me and claimed he was friends with the friends I had here. His “life changing” technique ended up being body tapping method and eventually his hand moved below my waist. I froze as he told me to continue to breathe.
Afterwards I told him that did not feel good and I did not want it to go there. He exclaimed “did it look like I was turned on!?” And kept proclaiming to consider him like a golden retriever as he does not identify with most men and their actions. With the support of my loved ones, we encountered this article which gave me the validation that what happened to me was not my fault and I had been coerced and sexually assaulted.
Thanks to this evidence I felt the confidence to speak up and warn the rest of the community in Zonte. I have seen him in Miami, but he lives in New York. Recently, I’ve felt compelled to take more action, especially as he has buried this article with good press and articles on doing good. His Instagram is masked with photos with him and his nephews. He hides behind an altruistic facade to hide the disgusting predator he really is.
Henry, if you’re reading this, you may have thought you took my power, you only made me stronger and understand the many degrees of sexual assault. This will never happen to me again. I will and have ensured to make sure everyone I encounter in miami and in New York knows about you. It is you who will feel very uncomfortable.
The shame is on you. Thank you to this blog and whoever had the courage to take action. This truly expedited my healing process. Thank you thank you.
